BORDA CLASSIC & CONTEMPORARY WINE
I designed names and visuals for two wines for Cantine Castellani, a winery in the heart of Tuscany.
The product is aimed at the American market, focusing mainly on Generation X.
The required graphic style is Classic & Contemporary.

For the name of the wine I did some research on the Maremmano, a Southern Tuscany dialect. My choice fell on “borda!”, an exclamation that underlines the speed with which something happens or keeps happening.
For me, it was a way to emphasize how wine is a pleasure that you want to have often and willingly.
The wine bottles labels combine classic elements (serif fonts, laid paper, text in relief with gold foil) and modern touches (abstract art, use of negative space).
The image is an artistic and abstract representation of earth, which recalls the soil where the wine comes from.
The logotype and the words "Riserva" ("reserve wine") are in gold, while the wine classification has red wine colour for Chianti Classico and silver for Pinot Grigio.
